Who we are
Craftnect is a local services marketplace for homes and the people who work on them. Customers describe what needs doing. Verified providers who cover that service and area can respond. The platform matches the work, holds the booking payment, and settles it when the job is finished. We are not in the business of dropping strangers at your door for the sake of it. We are in the business of removing a problem from your day.
That is what we mean when we say we deliver relief. The weight leaves. The work is done. You get back to living.
How work is matched
A request is written once. Eligible providers are found by the same rules used in discovery: service fit, active status, and distance in kilometres from the provider base within their coverage. Each eligible provider receives a durable match record. They may decline or submit a quote. You compare responses and choose one. Messaging between you and that provider opens after they respond.
Providers must set their services, location, and radius before they appear as eligible. Exact customer addresses stay private until the booking lifecycle allows disclosure. Provider base addresses are never shown publicly.
How payment is handled
When you accept a quote, you pay Craftnect through Stripe Checkout on the platform. The booking is confirmed only after a verified payment webhook. Funds stay secured on Craftnect while the work is underway. This is not a private cash arrangement between you and a provider, and we do not describe it as escrow.
Completing a job
Task details reach the provider so they can prepare. When the work is finished, completion is requested and confirmed by both sides. Confirmation is recorded. Then payment is released to the provider. That sequence is the happy path: task completed, confirmation sent, payment released.
When work is not completed
If the job cannot be finished as booked, Craftnect reviews the case. We look at what happened, what both sides reported, and what the booking record shows. Where policy allows, the amount is returned. The goal is a fair outcome, not a silent hold on your money.
Cancellations
There is no cancellation fee when you cancel more than fourteen days before the appointment. Inside that window, a cancellation fee may apply under our published policy. Full detail is on our Cancellation options page.
Ways to book
Craftnect supports advance booking when you plan ahead. Instant booking is available where a provider offers it. Monthly subscribed providers are also available for customers who want ongoing coverage from pros who keep recurring availability on the platform.
Privacy and verification
